This project continues the urbanistic theme of the exist-ing school area with its terraces. For the extension to the school, two compact volumes are created which intensify the entry sequence at its middle level. The atmosphere of the new schoolyard includes features of a typical suburban school. The project’s architectural language transforms the existing style in a timeless ‘old-new’ expression. The qualities of the existing school are increased by the intervention: the juxtaposition of large glazing, small openings and ‘arbitrary placed’ openings.
